During infertility and IVF, one of the hardest things can be watching life move forward around you, while you feel like your life is stuck on pause. <\/p>\n

For us, that feeling can be summed up by an empty chair. <\/span><\/p>\n

At first, it\u2019s just an empty chair. <\/span>But it\u2019s not just any empty chair.<\/p>\n

Somewhere along the way, you start imagining who might sit there.<\/span><\/p>\n

At breakfast. At Christmas. In family photos. On summer holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n

And suddenly, it isn\u2019t just a chair anymore.<\/span><\/p>\n

During our IVF journeys, we watched our friends\u2019 families grow – from zero to one, one to two, and even three.<\/span><\/p>\n

Babies arrived. First birthdays came around. Then second birthdays came around too. We were happy for them, but there was often another feeling sitting alongside it:<\/span><\/p>\n

When will it be our turn?<\/span><\/p>\n

Not just in months and years, but in cycles, transfers, birthdays and Christmases you once thought would look different.<\/p>

To everyone else, it\u2019s simply another seat at the table.<\/p>

But to you, it holds a child you\u2019ve already pictured. A place you\u2019ve quietly been saving. A future you\u2019ve been carrying in your heart for much longer than anyone realises.<\/p>
