Det eneste problem var, at vores \u201cnormale\u201d ikke lige var afslappet. Det var tidlige morgener, lange arbejdsdage, en fyldt social kalender, livsadministration, uendelig fertilitetsforskning og fors\u00f8g p\u00e5 at passe behandling ind i alt det andet. Vi fortsatte, fordi det var det, vi troede, vi skulle g\u00f8re.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">N\u00e5r man ser tilbage, er der \u00e9n ting, ingen talte med os om, og det var s\u00f8vn. Ingen foreslog at s\u00e6tte tempoet ned. Ingen talte om hvile som en del af processen. Jo mere vi l\u00e6rte, jo mere inds\u00e5 vi imidlertid, at s\u00f8vn ikke bare er spildtid. Andre n\u00e6tter var det at v\u00e5gne kl. 3 om natten og ikke kunne falde i s\u00f8vn igen. Nogle gange var det hormonerne, angsten eller simpelthen v\u00e6gten af at b\u00e6re s\u00e5 meget usikkerhed. Nogle gange var det ikke engang en specifik bekymring. Det var simpelthen f\u00f8lelsen af, at vores sind aldrig helt slog fra.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Efterh\u00e5nden som hver af vores reagensglasrejser skred frem, fandt vi begge os selv trang til tidligere sengetider, snige os ind p\u00e5 lure, og f\u00f8le os mere tr\u00e6tte, end vi nogensinde havde forventet. N\u00e5r vi ser tilbage, f\u00f8ltes det som om, vores kroppe bad om mere hvile l\u00e6nge f\u00f8r vi inds\u00e5, at vi havde brug for det.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det vi sidenhen har l\u00e6rt, er at s\u00f8vn ikke kun handler om at f\u00f8le sig frisk dagen efter. Den er stille og roligt involveret i hormonregulering, restitution, modstandsdygtighed over for stress og mange af de biologiske processer, der foreg\u00e5r bag kulisserne under fertilitetsbehandling.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selvf\u00f8lgelig garanterer god s\u00f8vn ikke succes med IVF, og d\u00e5rlig s\u00f8vn er ikke noget, du skal bebrejde dig selv for. Det handler ikke om at skabe endnu en ting at bekymre sig om eller at f\u00e5 perfekt.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det handler simpelthen om at anerkende, at hvile betyder noget. Din krop laver en enorm m\u00e6ngde arbejde under IVF, og nogle gange er det venligste, du kan g\u00f8re, at give den tilladelse til at s\u00e6tte farten ned.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det er det, vi gerne vil udforske i dette indl\u00e6g.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-255d4bc e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"255d4bc\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-08dce78 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"08dce78\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Hvorfor s\u00f8vn sj\u00e6ldent kommer p\u00e5 tale i samtaler om IVF\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aefd7dc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aefd7dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En ting, vi har undret os over, er, hvorfor ingen taler mere om s\u00f8vn i forbindelse med IVF.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S\u00e5 meget af fertilitetsbehandling fokuserer p\u00e5 de ting, klinikkerne kan m\u00e5le: hormonniveauer, follikelantal, scanninger, blodpr\u00f8ver og laboratorieresultater. S\u00f8vn sker derhjemme. Det er sv\u00e6rere at m\u00e5le, lettere at overse og ofte helt udeladt af samtalen.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men under IVF-behandlingen foreg\u00e5r der en masse i din krop bag kulisserne. Hormonerne \u00e6ndrer sig, \u00e6ggestokkene vokser, indgrebene kr\u00e6ver restitution, og der er ofte en konstant understr\u00f8m af stress og usikkerhed, der pr\u00e6ger det hele.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">N\u00e5r man ser tilbage, er det ikke overraskende, at s\u00e5 mange af os har sv\u00e6rt ved at sove under behandlingen.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det viser sig, at forskningen ogs\u00e5 underbygger dette. En stor unders\u00f8gelse viste, at omkring 30% af de personer, der p\u00e5begyndte IVF-behandling, opfyldte kriterierne for d\u00e5rlig s\u00f8vnkvalitet, hvilket er betydeligt h\u00f8jere end i den generelle befolkning.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det stemmer helt sikkert overens med vores oplevelse. S\u00e5 hvis du har oplevet, at din s\u00f8vn har v\u00e6ret tungere, lettere eller mere uforudsigelig under behandlingen, er det ikke noget, du bilder dig ind \u2013 og du er bestemt ikke den eneste.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c5d1d2c e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"c5d1d2c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-903bc49 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"903bc49\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Hvad forskningen siger\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7bc971d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7bc971d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Da vi begyndte at unders\u00f8ge forskningen omkring s\u00f8vn og IVF, var der ikke \u00e9n dramatisk opdagelse, der skilte sig ud.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det var m\u00f8nsteret.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Den ene unders\u00f8gelse efter den anden syntes at pege i samme retning: S\u00f8vn spiller muligvis en st\u00f8rre rolle i fertilitetsbehandling, end mange af os er klar over.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I en unders\u00f8gelse af mere end 1.200 kvinder, der gennemgik IVF og ICSI, havde de, der sov mindre end syv timer om natten, en tendens til at f\u00e5 udtaget f\u00e6rre \u00e6g og f\u00e6rre modne \u00e6g end dem, der sov syv til otte timer. Personer, der regelm\u00e6ssigt havde sv\u00e6rt ved at falde i s\u00f8vn, havde ogs\u00e5 en tendens til at have f\u00e6rre modne \u00e6g, befrugtede \u00e6g og embryoner af god kvalitet.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det betyder ikke, at d\u00e5rlig s\u00f8vn er \u00e5rsagen til, at IVF-forl\u00f8b mislykkes. Men det tyder p\u00e5, at s\u00f8vn kan bidrage til at underst\u00f8tte \u00e6ggestokkenes reaktion under behandlingen, is\u00e6r n\u00e5r kroppen i forvejen er udsat for en betydelig hormonel belastning.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En anden mindre unders\u00f8gelse, der brugte b\u00e6rbare s\u00f8vntrackere, fandt noget lignende. Kvinder, der sov l\u00e6ngere f\u00f8r behandling, havde en tendens til at f\u00e5 flere \u00e6g ud, selv efter at have taget h\u00f8jde for faktorer som \u00e6ggestokreserver.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Samlet set tyder forskningen p\u00e5, at s\u00f8vn ikke bare foreg\u00e5r i baggrunden. Man kan ligge i sengen i otte timer og v\u00e5gne op med en f\u00f8lelse af, at det slet ikke har hjulpet. Vi har haft n\u00e6tter som dem.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det interessante er, at unders\u00f8gelsen ikke tyder p\u00e5, at mere s\u00f8vn altid er bedre. Faktisk er meget lange s\u00f8vnperioder blevet sat i forbindelse med d\u00e5rligere resultater hos visse grupper.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I stedet ser det ud til, at s\u00f8vnkvaliteten betyder mere end at str\u00e6be efter et bestemt antal timer.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flere unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at personer, der angiver at have en bedre s\u00f8vnkvalitet, generelt har h\u00f8jere graviditets- og levendef\u00f8dselsrater end dem, der angiver at sove d\u00e5rligere, selvom de ikke n\u00f8dvendigvis sover l\u00e6ngere.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disse unders\u00f8gelser viser naturligvis m\u00f8nstre, ikke forudsigelser, og de fort\u00e6ller os ikke, hvad der vil ske i et bestemt IVF-forl\u00f8b.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men de minder os om, at det ikke handler om at opn\u00e5 den perfekte s\u00f8vn.
